The Clown Sexton appears in the Graveyard Scene, Scene 19. He is the character usually called the "gravedigger."
- Costume - The Clown Sexton is wearing work clothes as he digs, which gives an incorrect impression of who he is, as Hamlet sees him. He looks like a common manual laborer, hired only for that job.
- Topicality - The Clown Sexton is a lampoon of Ben Jonson.
The Clown Sexton is anonymous. I have not found a way to deduce his name from the dialogue.
