The Themes and Motifs are the concepts that drive the action and "set the stage" in the play. I use the word Themes for those concepts which are continual in the play and which most strongly motivate the actions. I use the word Motifs for the play's continual concepts which are familiar, and which primarily provide communication to the audience.
